Farewell Dima

Dima (formally Dmitrij Cesniuk) has been working with us down at the markets for the last 9 months. Sadly, he is heading back to Lithuania this Wednesday.

I wish we got to hang out a bit more outside of the markets but with his other job and Uni getting in the way it didn't end up happening often. Nonetheless, the markets are generally a pretty relaxed space so we got to know each other and joked around every Saturday anyway. I got to know Dima as an amazing intelligent person with lots of knowledge of seemingly useless historical facts and worldy news and an extremely funny understated sense of humour that sometimes had Steve and I in stiches. Incredibly kind and thoughtful, he liked to figure out his own way to do things which was great and leaves me at aloss as to how he did them now I had to pack up without him this week...

Hopefully we'll be able to catch up in the future somewhere in Europe. All the best. We will miss you next Saturday. Thanks.

While Steve is over in the beautiful NZ for 5 weeks we've got Yusuke Akai down helping us out. World famous jazz muso and previously one of the coffee makers of the Forest in West End, he'll be with us until Steve gets back, at least.
